Hi Opponauts!

I'm new to Oppo! Well, I've been reading Oppo for about 2 months and Jalopnik for 1.5-2 years on and off. During the whole month of August I would wake up and read the posts from the night before and then read the posts for the whole day; so yeah, you can say I'm addicted... But then summer ended so now I'm not as crazy. I truly think Oppo is one of the nicest forum/blog's out there. I saw the post about rights to Oppo and have been saving it for the day I knew I would create an account.

A little bit about me: I'm !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! younger brother. I live in CT, love sailing, playing baseball, and live for skiing! I love all pre-2000 Saabs. I recently found a Saab 9000 Aero for my dad through hours of surfing (hence the name A3RO, like aero!). I've always loved the word aero because while its the high performance line for Saab's its also the aerodynamics abbreviation. I somewhat know the drill around here; Bandit's 17 and already has a Trans Am named Emma, $kay loves Ford GT's, Takuro just bought a Trans Am etc. I don't have to much knowledge with trucks or motorcycles but i love old motorcycles and look at them as art! I take all my pictures on my iPhone 4; not even a 4s... So they're not to great! I love to put the phone rite on the ground and take a picture from there. Below i have some pictures of the cars i took pictures of and the bottom view (don't crop me Kinja):

Welcome. I'm relatively new myself. I love the shots! It's a lot like how I take pictures (and I use my 4S and they come out about the same so don't worry). I do have to say that I love that you posted the GT to appease the $kay-gods! Ha ha once again, welcome.

I'm no professional photog. But I found that taking several photos of a car at different angles, makes it much more likely to get a good one. Welcome again.

Hah! I'm so glad you said that. I have 3300 pictures on my phone, and take about 3 pictures average of each car. My family always makes fun of me for it. Oh well. Thanks for the advice though!

Tell me about it. I can't stop spending too much time on Jalopnik/Oppo.

The way I justify it to myself is this - I work a zillion hours a week and it's healthy to take breaks from work to talk about cars. But that justification breaks down when I end up taking 10 breaks in 1 hour :P

I love BMW's. They're on my top 5 favorite car company's list. I'm sure you know from 190e30, but my Dad had an e30 m3. He usually only keeps cars for 3-6 months... me and my brothers wouldn't let him sell it, and he didn't want to. 3 years later he sold it! He says its the longest he's ever kept a car in his life.

No, I can't blame my poor track record with taking and share pics on having a car and license. I'm just lazy. I only take pictures of my dog cause he's so funny looking and always around when I'm at home relaxing. Taking pics when out and about takes a minuscule amount of effort that I'm bad at putting forth. Here is a pic of him since it was in my phone and easy to post:

Yeah right! My Dads car, Took him until about last year for food of any kind to be allowed in his car. Now he has to approve of food if we want to eat in his car!

The only car I don't eat in is the one I co-own with my old man. He's not down with that either. I'm too busy to not occasionally eat in my own cars, no matter how nice they are. And I can't not let the dog in. I've trained him to sit on the front passenger floor carpet while I drive. It's the safest place for him and saves the seat from getting scratched. He either sleeps or sits there giving me a sigh and death stare every time I accelerate too hard or snap off a jerky shift.

I checked my phone and looks like I wasn't so lazy to avoid taking a quick pic the last time she was at my house. To be honest I should state that I am only technically 50% owner as I'm listed on the title, but I don't currently have the right to keep her in my garage 50% of the time. I paid 50% of the down payment but my old man has been paying 100% of the monthly payments because I had to save money for a house and I got myself into monthly payments for two bimmers... But at least I get to have her now and then.

Thanks! She's a fun ride. I know people say you shouldn't buy these cars unless you have the money to buy them cash. But you only live once, right? Prices have dropped on them so much that it wasn't any more used than a new Carrera S with some options would have been. And people get loans for those cars all the time. My only complaints:

1. It takes a lot of force on the brake pedal to get the car to stop quick. This may have been corrected in the later years when carbon ceramics became standard.

2. The power seats are too high off the floor. I'm 6' and I feel too tall for the car. I have since read on forums that the cars with sport seats or manual adjusting seats are better. But I don't feel too bad because I've checked and these cars are hard to find.

Other than that it's perfect. Sure it inhales fuel and the stereo is from 1992. But who cares, the engine note is better than anything that's played on the radio anyways...

Funny thing is it doesn't even work right now. The dealer didn't give us the service code so it locked up after the battery was disconnected. Stupidest feature ever. As if anyone would break into a Ferrari to steal its shit stereo and then leave the car there!

It's so funny because he really is! Every time someone comes in the house or to the door he barks his head off... And he's got that deep little dog bark thats terrifying! We didn't know that when we named him though.
